Our Story
At Kiani, we believe play should be beautiful, purposeful and full of discovery.
Kiani was originally started by Kiara’s parents in George, where the first activity boards were created with care, creativity and a love for hands-on learning. The name “Kiani” is especially meaningful, as it was inspired by a combination of Kiara’s name and her sister’s name Nika.
In 2025, Kiara bought the business from her parents and moved Kiani from George to Cape Town, where the brand has continued to grow into a collection of thoughtfully designed educational toys, sensory products and custom projects for babies, toddlers, families and child-friendly spaces.
Each product is created with a focus on quality, functionality and developmental value – while still maintaining a soft, modern aesthetic that fits beautifully into homes, nurseries, classrooms and play spaces.
